Holy Botanica Cycle 1 Reflections

Last October to December I ran my first plant gatherings in Berlin called Holy Botanica.

We met for 5 evenings and explored deeply with one plant at a time – through story, song, inquiry, touch, trance, blind dosing and many other ways of coming into contact and listening and discovering through our own direct experience.
I always wanted a place to have this kind of deep inquiry and interface with the plants in a group space. One that emphasised a cultivation of intimacy with the green world through the body and energy system as well as the sharing of folklore, practical wisdom and a mood of celebration.

I wasn’t really sure if anyone would be into it. But there was a lot of enthusiasm and delight reflected back from the lovely group that gathered for this.
It was all in all quite a vulnerable and experimental offering that stretched me in many great ways.

I’m taking with me a strong imprint (again) that longing is a truly powerful and trustable force.

The first pic was sent to me and I don’t know the artist (do you?) but it sums up the last journey we took into thresholds and disintegration with the mighty Hawthorn.
Also featured: wildwood altar and cackling witchez; super trippy Nettle altar; nettle seeds, ancient Elder; lots of messy making in preparation.
Big up also to Mugwort & Angelica who took us places.
And massive gratitude to the amazing people that joined for this first round and brought so much discernment, willingness, tenderness and laughter.
And to the wondrous Francesca for devotional support in all the realms, both for the group and for me personally, and for trippy beautiful altars.
